I first heard of Valorie Burton on The Potter's Touch, Bishop T.D. Jakes's daytime show. At the time ,I believe she was running her own public relations company. Then, I saw her on The 700 Club promoting her book, Listen To Your Life. Her book helped me tremendously. If you're an analytical thinker like myself, sometimes we can think ourselves into a mess. Her book helped me to unclutter my mind to pursue a productive life. She's a great life coach! Everybody needs a life coach at times. Sometimes, you get tired of being your own cheerleader. Every now and then, it's good to hear someone else say "you can do it!" If you need some good skills to continue in the game of life, check Valorie's article in the October issue of Essence magazine, "Your Secret To Success? You Would Never Guess!" or go to her website http://www.valorieburton.com/ to sign up for her newsletter.

Behind Every Good Leader Is The Support Of Another Good Leader... Mrs. Michelle Obama
Michelle Obama
On November 4, 2008, Michelle Obama became the first African American First Lady in the United States. She is a lawyer and a mother. According to USA Today, Michelle has two degrees from Princeton and Harvard. As any parent knows, it's not easy balancing your career and family. Yet, she has been supporting her husband on the presidential campaign trail. As the saying goes, behind every good man there is a good woman. This is true!
I never thought I would see an African American First Lady during my lifetime. I am amazed! We need to encourage, support, and pray for Mrs. Obama.
